The ultimate goal of the course is to create – starting from scratch – a specifically smart-cities oriented Android app that can respond to the needs identified by participants in the design phase, which shall take advantage of any of the technologies presented during the course (including the RESTful web radio services, Bluetooth or NFC communication, JSON and web services).
We’ll start with short theoretical introductions to the treated topics, followed by extensive hands-on activities, in which participants will have the opportunity to experiment and find solutions to the posed problems by the project, which will be defined by participants themselves, assisted in all phases by teachers and tutors. The class will also be divided into groups, made of 4-5 students, each of which will work to a specific Android app.
