What is it about?

The need to connect the web with the world of self-produced knowledge by small communities. It’s like to go back to the times when traditions and good practices without the need for manual and experts were transmitted. To experiment and exploit the network for these purposes offers solutions while saving time and increasing the quality of the results, that are products, decisions or simple coexistence.

What will we work on?

To collaborate online (in asynchronous and synchronous mode); to know the virtual world of cooperation; to harness the resilience of distributed communities; to identify with a community of practice; to know some of the web resources open based for collaboration and learning.

The first day you will learn to recognize yourselves in a community of practice and we will make an introduction to the main theories and technologies for online collaborative learning.

The second day you will discover and experiment with some of the open web resources for collaboration and learning

The third day we will evaluate the forms of online collaboration (in asynchronous and synchronous mode) created by groups and analyze the flow of knowledge and information created

How does it work?

The computer supported activity will take place during a 3 days class bringing your own pc and thanks to the WI FI spot of the school. On the first day online collaborating will be introduced as subject and small work groups will be created. During the second and third day the groups will develop knowledge and skills by the community of practice approach and peer learning.

↳ Courses will start once the minimum number of participants is achieved.
