February is almost over, many things happened in this short but intense month: from the political communication workshop held by Eugenio Iorio and Alessandro Tartaglia, to the FabLab machines testing, up to the launch of the new courses (by the way, link here) and finally, to end in style we accepted to host a special meeting: the first “Learning Coffee” of 2017, on the issue of Resilience.

The workshop, proposed and facilitated by the Learning Cities association, saw the participation of the author of the book "The Resilient City" Piero Pelizzaro - which among other things works to urban planning at Milan Municipality and with whom we had a wonderful day “connecting the dots" - and 25 enrolled participants.

In this participatory workshop format participants are not only spectators – but become actors of a collective learning experience, through dialogue and confrontation.

Learning Coffee this year are dedicated to exploring the theme of Public Space, meant not only as physical space and public property, but rather as an area in which people and communities can express their identity, learning from the past, sharing knowledge, drawing their own future, discussing, cooperating.

Piero will come back to Bari in April, here at SOS we’re very happy of the synergy produced and we hope that the ideas emerged during the day will take shape into concrete projects – so stay tuned! ;)

Meanwhile, here are the output (pictures) produced during the workshop, and the photo album published by Learning Cities.

Co-organizers: “Learning Cities - communities who learn” Network – Founded in 2007, it is registered at the Regional APS (Social Promotion Associations). Among its goals is to create learning networks between communities and to stimulate an active participation aimed at sustainable development.
