Learning Coffee is a participatory workshop format, developed by “Learning Cities” association, in which participants are not only spectators – but become actors of a collective learning experience, through dialogue and confrontation.
It’s a series of meetings on specific issues, declined under the general theme chosen each year by the association. The themes aim to open a debate in the territories in which the workshops are made, on the possibility of improving the welfare of the local community through an active involvement of citizens.
Learning Coffee this year are dedicated to exploring the theme of Public Space, meant not only as physical space and public property, but rather as an area in which people and communities can express their identity, learning from the past, sharing knowledge, drawing their own future, discussing, cooperating.
The first workshop will be held in Bari, at La Scuola Open Source, on the theme of resilience, with the participation of Piero Pelizzaro, author of the book “La città resiliente” ("The Resilient Town", more info: https://altreconomia.it/prodotto / the-city-resilient /).
