Hacker, maker, film-maker / La Scuola Open Source, Dinamo Film

Cinema worker by profession, self-taught maker by vocation. He cooperates with Dinamo Film, where he cares about innovation within videomaking processes, and with FF3300 studio for interaction-based projects and research. In 2014 he is the project manager for the “Y - a variable seeking for identity” workshop, from which in 2016 La Scuola Open Source was born, with him as co-founder.

  • Nicolò Loprieno

Designer / FF3300 / La Scuola Open Source

Born in Bari on July 4th, 1983. He studies Industrial Design in Bari Polytechnic University and Communication Design in Venice IUAV. Co-founder of FF3300 Studio and La Scuola Open Source. With time he specialized in graffiti and street-art techniques, which led him to embrace the motto “works are better when shared”.

What is it about?

Have you ever wanted a perfect drink when no one could made it or carry it to you? Have you ever wanted to know / can build a robot? Have you ever thought to build a programmable "cocktail printer"? Are you looking for a free course to learn how to use Arduino?

If you answered "yes" to at least one of these questions, then this is the lab you were waiting for.

What will we work on?

During the workshop a programmable Robotic Bartender useful to make any type of cocktail will be manufactured .

How does it work?

The workshop introduces participants to the creation of a robot through programmed electronics. On the first day an overview of Arduino and sensors, actuators and devices connected to it will be made. Also, the main functions of the programming language C will be illustrated. The second and third day will concern the design and construction of the robot through the tools and devices made available.
